A hydrogen target is bombarded by pions. Calculate the threshold values of kinetic energies of these pions making possible the following reactions: (a) \(\pi^{-}+p \rightarrow K^{+}+\Sigma^{-}\) (b) \(\pi^{0}+p \rightarrow K^{+}+\Lambda^{0}\).
