Electric Oscillations

Problem 4.95

An oscillating circuit consisting of a capacitor with capacitance CC and a coil of inductance LL maintains free undamped oscillations with voltage amplitude across the capacitor equal to VmV_{m}. For an arbitrary moment of time find the relation between the current II in the circuit and the voltage VV across the capacitor. Solve this problem using Ohm's law and then the energy conservation law.

Reveal Answer
V2+I2L/C=Vm2V^{2}+I^{2} L / C=V_{m}^{2}
