Second law of thermodynamics, entropy

Problem 2.145

Find the temperature \(T\) as a function of the entropy \(S\) of a substance for a polytropic process in which the heat capacity of the substance equals \(C\). The entropy of the substance is known to be equal to \(S_{0}\) at the temperature \(T_{0}\). Draw the approximate plots \(T(S)\) for \(C>0\) and \(C<0\)

Reveal Answer
T=T0e(SS0)/C . See Fig. 15.T=T_{0} \mathrm{e}^{\left(S-S_{0}\right) / C} \text { . See Fig. } 15 .
